MARCH 21 Eastern Oklahoma SPC Risk: MODERATE 251 miles traveled 0 tornadoes observed Left via I-40 towards eastern Oklahoma. SPC had a moderate risk out for this day, and we chased the tornado-warned storm in McIntosh County, near Lake Eufaula. Observed low-hanging rotating wall clouds, but no tornadoes materialized from our vantage point. Tornadoes were later reported in Okfuskee County, to our west.
APRIL 10 Northern Oklahoma SPC Risk: MODERATE 279 miles traveled 0 tornadoes observed Left for northern Oklahoma in anticipation of SPC’s moderate risk area. We spent much of the day in Dewey and Major Counties, enjoying the bright sunshine. The only storm we encountered was a low-end severe cell affecting Norman as we got back into town. A disappointing bust day.
JUNE 12 Southwest Oklahoma SPC Risk: MODERATE 215 miles traveled 0 tornadoes observed Took I-44 to Lawton and Hwy. 62 west to Altus. SPC had a moderate risk up for SW Oklahoma and parts of the Texas Panhandle. Witnessed numerous gustnadoes (pic) in Greer and Harmon Counties. Tornadoes on this day were confined to western north Texas.

JUNE 16 Southwest Kansas SPC Risk: MODERATE 626 miles traveled 0 tornadoes observed Spent much of the day in Liberal, Kansas; SPC had issued a moderate risk for much of the area. Chased a tornado-warned storm in far southwest Kansas that died quite a death by the time we were able to get a visual on it.
